The Chuck Hawes Custom Copperhead is a traditional slip joint design made in the traditional way. Â Beautiful matching dyed burl wood handle scales meet with Mokume bolsters for a classic appearance while also housing the hand forged damascus blade. Â

The Blade: Â Hawes handforged damascus combines 15N20 stainless with 1095 carbon steel for a bold and distinct pattern. Â Clip point style with single nail nick and razor sharp plain edge. Pronounced half stop with strong backspring construction.
The Handle:Â Stainless steel liners sit under genuine burl wood handle scales and Mokume bolsters all meeting seamlessly. Â A full length fileworked damscus backspacer brings the entire piece together.
