MKM and the Mikita network, deliver another wonderful collaborative design with Jesper Voxnaes with the Timavo flipper. The aesthetics are inspired by the waves and forms of a flowing river while the overall design is all about function. This version comes with sandblasted and milled titanium handles and a Super Dense Twist Damasteel blade. Numbered of 100.
Brand new, direct from MKM.
Blade: The utilitarian drop point blade of the Timavo is made from Super Dense Twist Damasteel, a striking, high performance, stainless Damascus, and equipped with a nearly full flat grind for excellent slicing performance. The blade rides on a ball bearing pivot for fast, smooth flipper deployment. The crowned spine adds a subtle element of style while a fully functional finger choil provides added control for fine cutting tasks.
Handle: Nested Stainless steel liners support 3D contoured titanium handle scales that have been milled with a satin 3D wave texture with sandblast finished grooves and contours. The handles are nicely contoured for a secure and ergonomic grip with added traction from the textured sections. The construction is completed with titanium hardware including a titanium pivot collar and back spacer.
Carries via a right-hand milled titanium pocket clip
Includes magnetic closure, hardwood display case and signed and numbered certificate of authenticity.
Damasteel: A high hardness, high corrosion resistant steel that combines two martensitic stainless steels – RWL34 and PMC27 – in unique patterns that, when etched, create the designs seen in the blade. Damasteel delivers a blade that is very eye-catching and has performance in the realm of RWL34, similar to CPM154.
