Protech’s BR-1 Magic Bolster Release automatic knife has a hidden secret that, once you’ve mastered, you’ll want with you every day. Ingeniously designed by Mike “Whiskers” Allen, the BR-1 has a Textured bolster that acts as the actuator, lock, and release. Simply apply pressure with your thumb to the right to open and close using the Magic Bolster. This Damascus limited version has a “tuxedo” ivory white paper Micarta inlay, textured bolster, and Chad Nichols custom Damascus blade.

Blade: The utilitarian drop point blade comes with a high saber grind for balanced durability and slicing performance and a nearly full length swedge on the spine for enhanced piercing performance. Striking Nichols Damascus delivers pattern welded style and modern performance. With a near seamless integration into the handle, the textured bolster actuator is inconspicuous while being intuitive and easy to operate. Simply slide the bolster toward the spine and the coil spring mechanism delivers fast and reliable deployment.

Handle: Chamfered for comfort, the hard anodized black anodized aluminum handles offer lightweight durability over the long haul. The stealthy Textured Magic Bolster is connected to a long back spring lock bar delivering secure lockup and a clean, stylish look.
